Timothée Chalamet has been pulling off some fashion stunts recently: in pink Chrome Hearts, Chanel scarves and leather jackets, and a full-blown Bob Dylan cosplay (blonde wig included). So it’s refreshing and nostalgic to see him in a good old-fashioned black suit, looking like the Timothée of old.
On the BAFTAs red carpet, Chalamet put all the eccentricity aside and wore a custom black double-breasted suit by Bottega Veneta, a fashion fan favorite. Featuring a jacket that hemmed to the hips, the pants were cut loosely and slouched over black boots. Underneath, a simple black T-shirt (no doubt made of cashmere). A black suit, then, but with a slightly experimental spirit.

Like all the brand’s looks, the suit was full of little details, from the triangle motif on the pocket to the subtle pleating on the waistband of the pants.
But while the rest of the look might have been more understated, her Cartier necklace added a little extra. Her Panthère de Cartier featured a white gold panther that spans two chains and, according to the brand, “has 2 emerald eyes, 17 sapphire spots, 1 onyx nose and 556 diamonds.” You may have missed Valentine’s Day, but you can still get it for around $300,000, FYI.
Timothée Chalamet is up for Best Actor for his role in A Complete Unknown, where he plays Bob Dylan. But win or lose, he’ll be going home with his trophy (a nice Panthère).

Only Timothée Chalamet and Bottega Veneta could make a black dress this beautiful
